Pedestrian hit by car - Greville Rd

Waitemata Police are investigating a serious crash that occurred on Greville Road near the intersection of Hugh Green Drive, Browns Bay just before 7pm last night.

The crash involved a car and a pedestrian. The pedestrian remains in a critical condition in Auckland hospital.

Police ask for any witnesses to the crash to please come forward by contacting Constable Caroline Ludford of the Waitemata Serious Crash Unit on 09 213 4648.

Uh oh. Bird flu – often deadly to humans - is not only being transmitted from infected birds to dairy cows, but is now travelling between dairy cows. As of last Friday, Bloomberg News reports, there were 32 American dairy herds with H5N1 infections. They’re located in Idaho, New Mexico, Texas, South Dakota, Kansas, Michigan, Ohio and North Carolina. Reportedly, many of the cows are asymptomatic.
