Concerns for man missing from Mount Maunganui

Concerns for man missing from Mount Maunganui

Police are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a 37-year-old man missing from Mount Maunganui.

Stephen Michael Tracey was last seen by family in Mount Maunganui at approximately 5pm on Saturday, 27 September. At that time he advised family he was going for a walk and would be returning in about an hour. He has not been seen since and it has been established that he did not take his wallet or phone with him, which is out of character.

Police have carried out a number of searches and enquiries with the assistance the Mount Maunganui Surf Lifesaving Club and local search and rescue volunteers, but there have been no sightings and Mr Tracey has not been in contact with his family.

Mr Tracey is of medium build and approximately 6ft tall and was wearing a t-shirt, shorts and sandals when he was last seen.

Anyone with any information about Mr Tracey that might assist police in finding him is asked to contact Tauranga Police on 07 577 4300.
