What do Frank, Fountains and Freyberg have in common?

How well do you know Wellington? On Sunday 2nd November 2014 at 12:30pm, you can test your knowledge at The Great Wellington Hunt.

Starting outside TSB Arena on Queens Wharf teams of four will need to use their knowledge of Wellington to race each other around some of Wellington’s historic and well-known landmarks.

This new and innovative race to Wellington is the brain child of Mount Cook resident, Graeme Davidson. “I was born and raised in Wellington”, says Graeme. A friend visiting from abroad was asking me about the city’s history and I didn’t have the answers. I did some research and it has evolved to become The Great Wellington Hunt”

In the spirit of the Amazing Race and the Metlink City Safari, The Great Wellington Hunt involves teams solving clues and racing to reach various locations over the course of the afternoon. Afterwards, a prizegiving will be hosted at One Red Dog. The main prize of a return trip for four to National Park compliments of KiwiRail Scenic Journeys.

Entry fee is $25 per adult and $15 for children under 15, with all proceeds going to help “Make – A – Wish New Zealand” make more wishes come true for children with life threatening medical conditions.

To register your team contact Graeme Davidson at graeme.davidson004@gmail.com or visit the event page https://www.facebook.com/thegreatwellingtonhunt Entries close 5pm 30thOctober 2014.
