‘Heritage 101’ – Heritage Christchurch Open Day

‘Heritage 101’ – Heritage Christchurch Open Day 19 October

Heritage Christchurch, set in Cathedral Square, is delighted to open its doors to the public to celebrate the Beca Heritage Week in Christchurch (17-27 October).

The hotel is offering entertaining guided ‘Heritage 101’ historic tours through the 101 year old building on the afternoon of Sunday 19 October.

The tours will depart at 1 PM, 2 PM and 3 PM and are free with an optional coin donation to Historic Places Canterbury.

Maddisons restaurant will also be open during the day with an a la carte breakfast/brunch, available from 7 AM until 1 PM, followed by an afternoon tea service until 4 PM.

Breakfast options include eggs all-ways, eggs benedict, the three-egg omelette, French toast and pancakes. Group bookings to dine in Maddisons are recommended on 03 983 4800.

Maddisons restaurant offers breakfast daily and special event teas. The venue is also available for exclusive hire for weddings and conferences.

Heritage Christchurch offers one and two bedroom suite accommodation, conference facilities and a fully equipped health club and lap pool on site.

The hotel’s unique building survived the 2011 seismic events to emerge as one of the few remaining working heritage buildings in Christchurch and reopened in 2013 in its 100th year.
