Head on fatal crash

At 1.50pm 08/10/14 Police were advised of a
head on collision between a van and station wagon on
Hamurana Rd, Ngongotaha, Rotorua.
6 people were injured in
the collision (3 x status 3, 2 x status 2, 1 x status
1)
The most seriously injured person died on the way to
hospital.
The Serious Crash Unit is in attendance at the scene and inquiries are ongoing to determine to reason for the crash.
Diversions are currently in place between Pyes Pa and the Tauranga Bypass. The road is expected to be open at about 4.20pm.
