Manager named for new Taita Sport & Recreation Centre
The Community Facilities Trust (CFT) is delighted to announce the appointment of Lesley Slieker as Manager of the Taita Sport & Recreation Centre.
The Manager job is a new role because the Centre is currently being built and is planned to open September 2015.
Lesley has been the CEO of Ronald McDonald House, Wellington for the last 12 years where she has developed the organisation into a world-class facility offering excellent services to the many families that use it every day.
Matt Reid, General Manager of Community Services says, “Lesley’s time at Ronald McDonald House working with people and ensuring their wellbeing tells us she is perfect to be leading our staff to deliver life-changing experiences for the people of Taita and also Lower Hutt.
“She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience and the kind of relationship management skills that we know will help us build a first-class facility.”
Lesley will start her new role in late 2014.
The Taita Sport & Community Centre will be a sports venue, leisure and learning space and a hub for the local community.
