Auckland Homicide Investigation
Auckland City CIB have
begun a homicide investigation after a woman’s body was
discovered in a Mt Wellington address.
Detective Inspector Chris CAHILL said that Police were called by occupants of the address at 9.15 pm on Monday night reporting a domestic dispute in progress.
Upon their arrival they located a man suffering injuries to his arms and the body of a 47 year old woman.
The man is currently in Middlemore hospital awaiting surgery.
The address has been secured and a detailed scene examination will take place today.
A post mortem will take place later today, the body currently remains inside the address.
Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death but have a significant investigation to undertake to ascertain what has occurred at the address.
