Get some much needed exercise with TripSwitch

TripSwitch is back again for summer 2014.

The Hastings District Council, iWay initiative encourages everyone to switch one car trip a day to a walking or cycling trip.

The first TripSwitch was held in October 2013, the second in February 2014 and the next begins on Monday 24 November 2014.

Hastings Deputy Mayor Cynthia Bowers says “Everyone can benefit from a little extra exercise, and TripSwitch could be just the motivation you need to spend a little more time in the great outdoors.”

“If you are one of those people who get into the car and drive a short distance to the nearest shops, TripSwitch is for you. Just leave the car at home and walk or ride your bike to the shops and you become a TripSwitcher. You will feel better for the exercise and there will be a new spring in your step,” Cynthia Bowers says.

TripSwitch runs for seven consecutive days from Monday November 24th. There are great prizes to be won, including a GoPro 4, five cruiser bikes, meal vouchers and plenty more.

To join in all you have to do is fill in the registration form at www.tripswitch.co.nz/signmeup/

Get on your bike or go for a wander; we guarantee you will feel better, get fitter and save money.
