Police appeal for witnesses to Wigram assault

Canterbury Police are investigating the assault of a 26 year old Auckland man outside a property in Grebe Place in Wigram between approximately 9-9.40pm on Wednesday 19th November 2014. The man has known Gang connections but was visiting Christchurch.

A man and woman who are friends of the victim were with him at the time of the incident but left the scene in a light blue Toyota Prius car shortly after.

The victim was taken to Christchurch Hospital and treated for skull fractures. He has since been released and has returned to Auckland.

Police have interviewed the victim and his two friends but are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or have any relevant information that may help with the investigation.
