NZ Transport Agency closing southbound tunnel for safety
maintenance
The NZ Transport Agency advises motorists
that the Northern Gateway Toll Road, southbound, will be
closed on the evenings of Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th
November 2014, from from 9pm – 5am. This will include the
Orewa southbound on ramp.
Detour route: Detours will be
in place along Hibiscus Coast Highway (SH17 free route)
between Puhoi and Silverdale.
This work is an important
part of the maintenance programme to ensure the
Johnstone’s Hill Tunnels and the Motorway are kept in a
good and safe condition for all road users.
Please note
that if the work is delayed by bad weather it will take
place on the next available evening.

maintenance.
