Further arrests made in relation to serious incident


Palmerston North Police have now arrested two more people in relation to an aggravated robbery and serious assault on King Street on Saturday 15 November, 2014.

A 19-year-old local man presented himself at the Palmerston North Police Station yesterday afternoon, and a 38-year-old local woman was located and arrested by officers in the CBD this morning.

The man has been charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm, and the woman is charged with aggravated robbery and attempting to cause grievous bodily harm.

They will both appear in the Palmerston North District Court today.

Detective Sergeant Dave Thompson, officer in charge of the investigation says: "Information gathered to date has resulted in us identifying the fourth offender involved and we are now in the process of attempting to locate him."

"I also want to take this opportunity to thank the community and local media for their support with the investigation.

"We still want to speak to anyone that may have any information regarding this incident and I encourage them to contact Police."
