International Cultures Day 2015

Community groups invited to take part in International Cultures Day 2015

The organisers of International Cultures Day 2015 in Hastings are seeking new community groups and food vendors to participate in this one of kind event.

Cultures Day is an annual event that will be held on Saturday March 7th 2015 at Cornwall Park in Hastings. It offers the community an opportunity to celebrate and experience the cultural diversity of Hawke’s Bay.

International Cultures Day is being organised by the Hawke’s Bay Multicultural Association. President Sook Hua Lee says “Many people are now looking to broaden their cultural horizons and are searching for mouth-watering cuisine from around the world. The event has always attracted a wide range of food stalls, cultural displays and performances but we believe there are many other experiences that would be welcomed by the thousands of people who flock to this event.”

Sook Hua Lee says “The organising committee is keen to widen the range of food and entertainment that is on offer next year and welcomes interest from individuals, groups or organisations that may consider participating.”

Around 5000 people attend International Cultures Day each year. The entertainment starts at 11am and goes through until 3.30pm.
