Vehicle Crash Hamilton At approximately
10.45am this morning emergency services responded to a
serious crash that occurred in Forest Lake Road, Hamilton,
near the intersection with Avalon Drive.
Only one vehicle
was involved, it being a people mover type vehicle.
It
appears to have mounted the footpath and crashed into a
fence.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was a
woman of approximately 40 years age.
Ambulance personnel
administered medical aid to her at the scene before
transporting her to Waikato Hospital Emergency
Department.
A diversion is in place to restrict traffic
movement to one lane on Forest Lake Road.
The crash scene
will remain under police control until the Serious Crash
Unit completes its examination in order to determine the
cause of the crash.
