Roads reopen following serious crash near Flaxton, Waimakariri


Canterbury Police can confirm that Lineside Road and Fernside Road have reopened following a serious crash at approximately 1.22pm today (8 December 2014).

Three vehicles are reported to have collided on Lineside Road, a truck and 4x4 vehicle travelling east-bound and a car travelling west-bound.

The female driver of the 4x4 was taken by helicopter to Christchurch Hospital with moderate injuries. The man driving the car, who was also reported to have moderate injuries, was taken to Christchurch Hospital by ambulance. The driver of the truck was taken to Christchurch Hospital with minor injuries.

Police investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.
