Christmas entertainment at Hastings night market

Christmas entertainment at Hastings night market

Carol singing will be part of the festive season celebrations at the Hastings night market in the CBD this Thursday (5pm - 9pm).

Inclement weather saw the cancellation of last Sunday’s Christmas in Cornwall Park but the carol singing will now be part of an entertainment package at the night market. The carols will be led by local groups 4s Company and the Flaxmere LDS Gospel Choir.

Hastings City Business Association City Centre Manager Susan McDade says “This is going to be a very special night market. Not only will there be the usual street stalls, there will also be some free, festive season entertainment. Many of the CBD retailers will be making it a late night so the city centre is going to be alive and buzzing with excitement.”

Susan McDade says “This is the chance for the community to enjoy the festive spirit of the night market, do a bit of last minute Xmas shopping and enjoy some great entertainment. The Christmas Swan and its helpers will be in the CBD, while a nativity scene will be played out on the stage from 5pm.”

This special Christmas at the Night Market event is part of the TSB Bank Christmas Series which also includes the Fiesta of Lights. The spectacular light show runs nightly until January 3rd at the Hawkes Bay Showgrounds.

TSB Bank will have entries forms available during the night market for a very special prize draw.
