Gisborne District Council Closed for Christmas


Gisborne District Council customer service office at Fitzherbert St and all Council departments will close for Christmas holiday break from 5pm Tuesday 23 December and reopen Monday 5 January 2015.


The Te Puia Springs Service centre will be closed from 4.30pm on 23 December and reopen 8.30am on the 5 January.


Council reminds people to get permits, payments or requests for information sorted in time for processing before Christmas.


Noise control, animal control and emergencies will be actioned after hours.


Anyone with an urgent request outside business hours, please phone (06) 867 2049 or 0800 653 800. Our phone service providers will assist you.


Non-urgent requests will be handled during normal business hours, to request non-urgent repairs or services fill in our online e-Fix form www.gdc.govt.nz/efix.


Kerbside rubbish and recycling will be collected as normal on Christmas day, Boxing day, New Year’s day and Friday 2 January.
