Police investigating stolen energy drinks

Police investigating stolen energy drinks

Counties Manukau Police are investigating a burglary of a commercial premises where $15,000 of energy drink V was stolen.

Eight pallets of cans were stolen from the Wiri address overnight on 15 December.

Inspector Bruce O’Brien of Counties Manukau Police reminds members of the public that receiving stolen property is a crime.

“Given the large quantity of cans it is likely that these offenders are looking to offload the stolen property as soon as possible. They could be attempting to sell them cheaply, or perhaps someone will be receiving a pallet of V for Christmas.

“Remember that if you are approached with a deal that sounds too good to be true it probably is. We urge anyone with information on this incident or any other incident involving stolen property to come forward by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

“With the help of the public, we can reduce property crime by targeting known receivers and the trade of stolen goods,” says Inspector O’Brien.

Anyone with information on the stolen V should contact Counties Manukau Police on 09 261 1300. Information can be provided anonymously to the organisation Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
