Police thank public for information in homicide case

The investigation into the death of Ihaia Gillman-Harris continues today. A post mortem examination has been conducted on Mr Gillman-Harris’s body which has confirmed that he died of blunt force trauma to the head. Police will not comment on whether any weapons were used.

Police continue to appeal for more information about the two men who were seen leaving the motel room.

“We have received a lot of information from members of the public regarding the identity of the two people shown on CCTV, as well as some important background on Mr Gillman-Harris’s life,” says Detective Inspector Scott Beard of Auckland City Police CIB. “We’ll be looking to put all this information together in the next stage of the investigation.”

Police thank the public for the information they have shared so far. Anyone else who may be able to assist with the investigation (Operation Lena) is urged to contact Auckland City Police on 09 302 6400 or to provide information anonymously contact the organisation Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
