Meet your Mayoral candidates this week

Palmerston North residents will have their first chance to meet mayoral candidates on Tuesday 13 at 12 noon.

The ‘Meet the Candidates’ public meeting is being held at the Ground Floor of the Central Library, with all nine candidates expected to be present.

Each candidate will speak for seven minutes to the audience, about their goals and vision for the city, after which there will be a question and answer session, followed by tea and coffee and the opportunity for informal discussion.

“This is a great opportunity for the residents of Palmerston North to hear from the mayoral candidates” says Dr John Annabell, Electoral Officer.

“If you’re unsure of who to vote for, then now’s your chance to start making up your mind by hearing from the candidates personally”.

A second ‘Meet the Candidates’ session will be held on Wednesday 21st January, at 7pm and on the Ground Floor of the Central Library.
