Police seek help to identify backpack owner

Police seek help to identify backpack owner

On the evening of Monday, 26 January 2015 a small black backpack was located at "The Landing" at Lake Tarawera, near the track which leads to an area known as the orchard. The small black "Adidas" brand backpack was handed in to the Rotorua Police.

Police are seeking public assistance to identify and locate the owner of the bag to check that they are safe and well and not missing.

The contents of the bag would suggest that it belongs to a man who has a young son.

Anyone who recognises the backpack, or knows who the owner, is asked to contact Rotorua Police on 07 348 0099.
