Two New Emirates A380 Europe Destinations from Auckland

Two New Emirates A380 Europe Destinations from Auckland: Dusseldorf and Madrid

New Zealanders will be able to fly all the way from Auckland on an Emirates A380 to more centres in Europe with the announcement by the airline today that it is adding two further A380 destinations in Europe: Dusseldorf and Madrid.

For both cities, Emirates will be the first airline to operate a scheduled A380 service, offering an unmatched travel experience to business and leisure travellers alike.

The addition of Dusseldorf and Madrid to the list brings the total number of European gateways served by Emirates’ A380s, the world’s largest passenger aircraft, to 13. Emirates currently has 57 Airbus A380s in its fleet, flying to 34 destinations globally and wowing customers everywhere it flies with its industry-leading onboard features.

From Auckland, Emirates flies three daily A380 services (via Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane) to Dubai and, with direct connections at Dubai, currently offers A380 service all the way to several European destinations, including London, Manchester, Paris, Rome, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Frankfurt, Munich and Zurich. From July and August respectively, Dusseldorf and Madrid will be added to the A380 destinations available with direct connections at Dubai.

“As the world’s largest operator of the A380, Emirates is proud to further expand the number of destinations served by this incredible aircraft. It offers passengers in all three classes a superior travel experience thanks to unique features like: the world’s only shower spas in First Class, the onboard lounge where First Class and Business Class passengers can socialise at 40,000 feet, our award-winning in-flight entertainment system with more than 2,000 ‘on demand’ channels, and free Wi-Fi,” said Hubert Frach, Emirates’ Divisional Senior Vice President Commercial Operations - West.
