Funding available through Creative Communities Scheme

Funding available through Creative Communities Scheme

Hutt City Council’s Creative Communities Funding Scheme has money available for groups and individuals running arts projects in the Hutt Valley. The funding team is also running two workshops to help people present strong applications.
Pippa Sanderson, Community Arts Advisor says, “We’re looking for art projects with broad community involvement, projects involving young people, or projects that support the diverse arts and cultural traditions of local communities.

“Projects we’ve funded before include; exhibitions, concerts, workshops, festivals, plays and mural projects, which have all been based in the Hutt Valley.”

Anyone who is planning an arts project can submit an application. Visit the Council website’s funding page for information, and apply online at www.huttcity.govt.nz/en/Services/Funding

People who don’t have Internet access can get online at any Hutt City Library.

The deadline for applications in this funding round is Monday 30 March.

Two free workshops
Two free workshops will be run to help people put together a strong application and register on the online grants system. These will be held on:
Tuesday 3 March
10.30am-12pm and 5.30-7pm
War Memorial Library, Corner Queens Drive and Woburn Rd, Lower Hutt

Creative Communities funding supports the arts; whether that’s music, theatre, festivals, mural painting, outdoor sculptures, art in public spaces, kapa haka, singing, art workshops or something else.
