ONLY 96 hours left to vote for Queenstown!

ONLY 96 hours left to vote for Queenstown!

Keep Queenstown and NZ in the top 20

Today, Queenstown sits in the top 15 out of 80 cities around the world all vying for a place on the global Monopoly Here & Now: World Edition game board. For New Zealand to get printed on the board we need to keep Queenstown in the top 20.

We are calling for Kiwis to cast their vote at www.votemonopoly.com

Karlie Fox, Promotions Manager at Hasbro NZ encourages all kiwis to ‘get behind their country and vote for Queenstown, we are so close to securing our place on the board and we don’t want to lose out in the final few hours’.

Queenstown just missed out on its place on the first Monopoly Here And Now board back in 2008, and Hasbro NZ hopes that Kiwis from around the globe will get behind Queenstown to vote to ensure it secures Monopoly real estate in 2015. Queenstown is the clear choice for nomination as it is a place that all New Zealanders can be proud of with its adventurous outdoors attitude, and stunning scenery.

Global games giant Hasbro is launched its second worldwide vote on 14th February to find the 22 greatest cities in the world to be included on the Monopoly Here & Now: World Edition game board.

Queenstown, New Zealand is the only Kiwi town to make the list of 80 finalists.

Its success of being printed worldwide on the board of the biggest selling board game depends on the number of Kiwis who visit www.VoteMONOPOLY.com and vote for Queenstown. Voting is open now until3 March 2015 and fans can rally behind Queenstown by sharing their vote on Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #VoteMONOPOLY. The twenty cities that receive the most votes will be part of Monopoly history on the World Edition Monopoly Here & Now game board with the top city being placed on the coveted highest rent property traditionally held by Mayfair.

Two spaces on the board will be reserved for any city, big or small, that are nominated through a wild card vote. Any region from any country in the world can be nominated for these property spaces, which means that Taupo or Christchurch have an equal chance of making it on the board as London & Hong Kong. Wild Card votes are open from March 3 to March 9 2015.

Any number of movie examples come to mind, beginning with Rudolf Valentino’s role (over a century ago) as the romantic Arab hero in The Sheik...
