Updated Upper Hutt health resource now available

Upper Hutt City Council’s Community Services team launched an updated Health Contacts booklet this week.

UPPER HUTT, Wellington NZ, 13 MAR 2015—A newly updated health resource was launched by Upper Hutt City Council’s Community Services team this week. The Health Contacts booklet has been revised to make sure the local community has the correct information concerning access to local health and social support providers.

The 2015 – 2016 Health Contacts booklet has been distributed to the community this week. The Health Contacts booklet is a free health resource available for everyone. Copies of the booklet are available to the public throughout schools, health centres, on Upper Hutt City Council’s website, and across Council facilities, including Council reception, Upper Hutt City Library, and H2O Xtream aquatic centre.

The Health Contacts booklet contains contact information about a variety of health services in the Upper Hutt area, from mental health services, hospitals, and pharmacies, to support services and much more. This is a health guide for Upper Hutt, and is a great resource for long-term residents and newcomers alike. The booklet also contains information about some regional and national services that are not based in Upper Hutt, but still provide services to Upper Hutt residents.

“The Health Contacts booklet provides the community with a free and easy-to-use health resource,” says Community Development Team Leader, Sofía Robinson. “Our aim is to make it easy for residents to find health resources and services that might otherwise be difficult to find or that people might not be aware of.”

If you would like more information or for copies for your organisation please contact the Community Development team on community@uhcc.govt.nz
