Nitro cold brew to blow up Caffeination
Nitro cold brew is going to blow up the Caffeination festival of coffee in Wellington this weekend thanks to Peoples Coffee.
“This is the first time nitro cold brew, a popular way of drinking coffee internationally, has been offered in Wellington. We can’t wait for coffee lovers to give it a go,” Peoples Coffee General Manager Liv Doogue said today.
Nitro coffee is cold brewed coffee that has been infused with nitrogen gas, Ms Doogue said.
“Our nitro coffee is handmade in small batches with fifteen hour cold brew, twice filtered, and is nitrogen charged to create big flavours and a creamy mouth feel. The nitrogen makes it thick and like a stout beer and smooth like a latte, but no milk!
“Peoples Coffee is proud to lead the charge in authentic, ethically traded speciality coffee and it’s great to bring this new way of consuming coffee to our home town.”
Ms Doogue said Peoples Coffee is excited to be be hosting a cold brew bar at Caffeination.
“This is the first year Peoples has attended Caffeination, and it’s exciting to be part of such a dynamic industry right here in New Zealand’s coffee capital.
“We’re going to have our hugely popular Cold Flat Whites, Cold Single Origin Blacks (SOBs), espresso, and our full range of single origin beans available as well as the nitro at Caffeination.”
People wishing to grab a nitro cold brew should head on down to Caffeination at the TSB Bank Arena this weekend, Ms Doogue said.
“If you’re looking for a different way to imbibe your coffee, come grab a nitro from the Peoples Coffee cold brew bar. We’ll be charging them up from 9:30 on Saturday to 4 on Sunday afternoon.”
