Nominations in Councillor By-election now closed

Nominations for a prospective Councillor closed today at 12 noon.

Electoral Officer Dr John Annabell announced at midday to have received nine nominations.

Nominations are as follows:

· BARBER, Ross Easton (Team God)
· BUNDY-COOKE, Gabrielle
· de la HAYE, Warren (Independent)
· EGAN, Martin (Independent)
· JOHNSON, Lorna
· NAYLOR, Karen (Positive Choice)
· PETRENAS, Bruno (Independent)
· PUGMIRE, Sue (Independent)
· SYMES, Abi (Independent)

As the number of nominations has exceeded the vacancy an election will now take place on Saturday 9 May 2015.

Candidate’s profiles will be posted on pncc.govt.nz and ‘Meet the Candidates’ meetings will take place at 7.00pm on 31 March and 12 noon 14 April 2015 at the Convention Centre.

Residents who are not listed on the final Electoral Roll will now need to apply for a special vote.
