Kaitaia Police are appealing for any assistance in their search for Leeann Ailini Scott who has been missing from Cable Bay since December 12 last year.

Police have called in extra staff and are going door to door in the Cable Bay and Taipa areas in the hope they can gather new or further information into the disappearance of the 49-year-old woman.

Detective Sergeant Trevor Beatson said after completing a thorough review into Leeann’s disappearance Police are left with more questions than answers.
“After three months with no sign or contact from her, we obviously have concerns for her wellbeing.”

When Leann went missing she was wearing a bright orange ‘Northface Summit’ hooded rain jacket, black exercise style pants and a pair of creamy brown Nike walking shoes. She may have been walking along State Highway 10, Cable Bay when she disappeared on the morning of Friday December 12.
