Serious crash in Harewood - Breen Rd, Harewood, Christchurch - Canterbury

Breen Rd is expected to remain closed for the next hour between Harewood Rd and Veronica St while Canterbury Police Serious Crash Unit complete a scene examination.

A serious crash between a car and a pedestrian was reported to have occurred shortly after 3pm this afternoon.

The pedestrian has been taken to Christchurch Hospital.

He is understood to be in a critical condition.

The man driving the car was very shaken but was not injured.

Canterbury Police investigations are continuing.
