Investigation leads to the arrest of 3 robbery suspects

Police investigation leads to the arrest of three robbery suspects. - Whangarei - Northland

Today (Friday 17/4/2015) Whangarei Police executed a number of search warrants in the Whangarei area in relation to Operation Riptide - the investigation into the aggravated robbery of the One Tree Point Store on Sunday 12 April 2015. Two males aged 28 years and 39 years were located and arrested for the aggravated robbery.

They will appear in the Whangarei District Court on Saturday the 19th of April 2015.

Police will oppose their bail.

A third male aged 22 years was located by Henderson Police and arrested for the same aggravated robbery.

He will appear at the Waitakere District Court on Saturday 19 April 2015 - his bail is also opposed.

During the search warrants Police located stolen tobacco, stolen property, Cannabis for Supply, and a 303 calibre rifle. The investigation team would like to thank all those who assisted in this investigation.
