Nelson Cosmetic and Vein Clinic sees expansion

Nelson Cosmetic and Vein Clinic sees expansion.

Nelson based cosmetic, medical and vein clinic, enhanceskin has announced its expansion.

Despite the worldwide recession, the facial aesthetics market has continued to grow globally at a rate of more than 10 per cent a year. Industry reports, based on global statistics, show dermal fillers as the most popular cosmetic treatment in terms of the number of enquiries, seeing an increase of 131% throughout 2014. Platelet rich plasma facials, also saw enquiries shoot up by 223% in the last quarter of 2014.

Dr David Orsbourn from enhanceskin says that the Nelson based clinic he opened with his wife, Robyn Orsbourn, eight years ago, is certainly not bucking this trend.

As well as a continued increase in client numbers at the Nelson practice. The last two years has seen a demand for Dr Orsbourn’s services in Blenheim. He practices fortnightly at the Churchill Private Hospital performing Endovenous Laser Treatment (EVLT) to treat varicose veins as well as offering cosmedical procedures.

The latest expansion comes with the recruitment of Lacey Boyd, (RN,BN), who joins the team with a background on various surgical wards. Ms Boyd, says “Having held a senior role in my ward positions, and gained a sound skill set and knowledge base in my specialised areas, I’m excited to be moving into a clinic environment and learning different skills, I look forward to developing new client relationships.”

Dr Orsbourn says, “We’re delighted to have Lacey on board, it’s been important to find the right person to fit our client values, but now we have, we’ll be able to offer more services and bring appointment times forward.”

Ms Boyd, began practicing at the enhanceskin Clinic in Buxton Square on Monday 20th April.
