Strong ticket sales for Storm match in Napier

Strong ticket sales for Storm match in Napier

Melbourne Storm is encouraging local rugby league fans to secure their seat early to the Round 20 NRL match in Napier after strong early ticket sales.

Fans have eagerly purchased tickets to Storm’s home game against St George Illawarra Dragons on July 25 – making this the fastest selling event held at the venue, surpassing All Blacks Test matches and one day cricket internationals.

Corporate boxes, Champions Lounge and Platinum tickets have all sold out, but excellent tickets remain available in the Club House ($75), grandstand seating and general admission embankment seating from as little as $17.50.

Storm Marketing Director Mike Billing said: “We are really pleased with the very strong tickets sales for the match so far, in what is shaping to be a blockbuster match.

“One of the most pleasing aspects is, not only are tickets being purchased by Hawkes Bay locals, but from fans travelling from other parts of New Zealand and even from Australia.

“We really encourage everyone to pre-purchase their tickets now so they don’t miss out.”

While in Napier, Storm players will engage with the local community, with public activities set to be confirmed over the coming weeks.

Rugby league fans in Napier will get to see Storm’s contingent of New Zealand and Australian internationals with Tohu Harris, Jesse Bromwich, Kevin Proctor, Cameron Smith, Billy Slater and Cooper Cronk set to make the trip to play.

Tickets for the Napier clash – kick-off 7.30pm (NZ time) – are available at ticketek.co.nz
