Overwhelming demand for Winter F.A.W.C! 2015

Overwhelming demand for Winter F.A.W.C! 2015

After just 8 days of ticket sales, Winter F.A.W.C! Food and Wine Classic is surpassing all expectations with twelve of the forty eight events on offer already sold out.

The 48 events in the 2015 Winter F.A.W.C! programme equate to just over 3000 tickets available to purchase and 1250 of those have already been snapped up by keen F.A.W.C!ers.

First to sell out was the Bollinger Brunch with local chef James Beck at luxury property Millar Road, followed closely by Bee Prepared with visiting chef Martin Bosley, set in the home of Hawke’s Bay based artists Brian and Leanne Culy.

Trinity Hill Winery has also proved popular with their three events; The Grill on Gimblett with Gimblett Gravels Winegrowers, Trinity Hill goes Bollywood and Molto & Montepulciano also selling out.

Other sold out events include One Swazi Night @ The Sawyers Arms, Winemakers Long Table Lunch @ Clearview Estate Winery, EatDrinkShare Italy @ FG Smiths, WBC & HC in HB @ Hugo Chang and Oh How You’ve Aged @ St.George’s Restaurant.

Hawke’s Bay Tourism General Manager Annie Dundas said she was thrilled with the response so far. “This is the biggest Winter F.A.WC! to date and the demand for tickets really shows that people are enjoying the F.A.W.C! series. People who are yet to book should get cracking to avoid disappointment”

Now in its third year, Winter F.A.W.C! will run across the four weekends in June. (Every Friday Sat, Sun, 5th-28th June) Events range from $40 to $250 and include everything from food and wine quizzes, themed dinners, cooking classes and food inspired movies to a day at the Races.
