Council seeks trade service providers for maintenance

Council seeks trade service providers for property and building maintenance

Horowhenua District Council is establishing a register of preferred trade service providers to use for maintenance of its properties and facilities, and is requesting quotes from suppliers who have the capability to provide these services.

Trade services required include plumber, drainlayer, gasfitter, electrician, painter, decorator, carpenter, handyman, bricklayer, blocklayer, roofer, glazier, drain unblocking and pest control.

Property and Parks Manager Arthur Nelson says that to contribute to Horowhenua's economic development locally, Council wants to use local trades-people and businesses.

"This is a great opportunity for sole traders and smaller businesses to access Council-provided work and help keep the District's buildings and other property in top order,” he said.

Response forms and all other related documents are available online at www.horowhenua.govt.nz/tradeproviders or can be collected from Council’s Civic Building, 126 Oxford Street, Levin, from Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pm.

A presentation and session on completing response forms will be held on Tuesday 12 May 2015 at 5.30pm in the Council Chambers of the Civic Building.

Council requires that all interested trade providers register their interest prior to 12:00pm on Friday 22 May 2015, either via email tomaintenance@horowhenua.govt.nz or phone RFQ coordinator Tina Tohill on 06 366 0999.

Response forms and quotes must be received no later than 12:00pm on Friday 29 May 2015.
