Child run over in driveway
At approximately 2.30pm this afternoon Emergency Services were called to an address in Bush Road, Paeroa where an 11 month old child was run over in her drive way by a small truck.
Inspector Tony Wakelin said "The driver of the Truck is not related to the house and the Police Serious Crash unit is speaking to the driver and investigating the circumstances of this tragic incident."
"Victim support has been offered to the girls family and the driver of the truck" he said.
The young child is in a critical condition and has been airlifted to Waikato Hospital.
