Council agrees to creation of Development Auckland
Auckland Council has today agreed to the creation of a new Council Controlled Organisation, to be known as Development Auckland.
Development Auckland will be created through the merging of Auckland Waterfront Development Agency Ltd and Auckland Council Property Limited and has been agreed as part of the council’s 10-year Budget process at the Budget Committee.
The new agency will manage an annual operating expenditure of $70million per annum and $75million revenue. It will also manage a capital budget of $430million over 10 years.
