Police were called
to Beresford St in Bayswater, North Shore at 8.10 am after a
builder located a piece of military ordinance under a
house.
The builder carried what he believed was a bomb to
the back of the section and left it there. Police called in
the Ordinance Team from the NZ Defence Force.
They
attended and took the ordinance away. Police advice is to
leave found ordinance in situ and call police rather than
carry it to another
location.
