Design your library card and win an android tablet

As part of Thames Library's 25th Anniversary celebrations, the District Libraries are looking for fresh new designs for the library cards.

"The theme is 'Love life, love my library' and entries will be judged on creativity, design, printability and the message communicated," says Linda Hayfield, Library Co-ordinator.

Original artwork in three age categories is being sought and the winner in each category will receive a new Android tablet and there will be random spot prizes drawn for each category.

"There is a catch, entrants must be a member of the Thames, Mercury Bay or Tairua Library," says Ms Hayfield. "But it's never too late to join, just come in to your local library or join online."

The competition closes on 30 June and finalists will be announced on 3 July. The public will then vote for the winners on the TCDC District Library's Facebook page.
