Expect delays on SH2 between Te Puke and Paengaroa

The NZ Transport Agency advises motorists travelling on State Highway 2 between Te Puke and Paengaroa to expect delays this week, as contractors carry out resurfacing on either side of the Kaituna River Bridge.

Stop/go traffic management and speed restrictions of 30km/h will be in place between the hours of 7pm and 6am from Tuesday June 23 through to Friday June 26.

Outside of these hours changes to the road layout and a 50km/h speeds restriction will be in place.

The works are required to provide smoother approaches onto the bridge, and improve safety.

The Transport Agency apologies for any inconvenience caused and thanks motorists for their patience during the works.
