Fatal Farm Accident Kaiwera Southland

Police and Worksafe investigators are at a farm property in Clements Road, Kaiwera completing a scene examination into a fatal accident that occurred on Sunday 5th of July 2015.

Emergency services were called to the property at about 5.15pm yesterday after a 32 year old female was located by another family member lying near a tractor in a winter feed paddock on the farm.

The deceased had been working at feeding balage to cattle on the family property.

No other person was present when the accident occurred. Worksafe and police will be looking at all factors at the scene and speaking with other family members to establish the cause of the accident.
