Free social media forum to be hosted at Upper Hutt Central Library

Upper Hutt City Library and Activation are teaming up to offer community groups and sporting organisations the chance to attend a free workshop on Facebook, social media, and marketing.

UPPER HUTT, Wellington NZ, 7 JUL 2015—Upper Hutt City Library and Upper Hutt City Council’s Activation team are joining forces to offer two free social media forums on Wednesday 15 July for local community groups and sporting organisations.

The Facebook, Social Media, and Marketing Forum will have 2 sessions available: 12.30 – 1.30 pm and 6.30 – 8.30 pm. The evening session will be a repeat of the lunchtime presentation plus an interactive workshop where participants can set up their own Facebook business page and walk through how to best utilise their page. Both sessions are being held in the Rotary Lounge at Upper Hutt Central Library.

An easy way to determine if the workshop would be important to attend is by answering the following questions:

• Do you know what free marketing tools are available to your organisation or club?

• Does your organisation have a Facebook page that is hardly used and has little or no engagement?

• Would you like to discover clever tips and tricks that make your Facebook page more inviting, more engaging, and more ‘likeable’?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then this free workshop is for you.

The evening session has limited space, so attendees are required to register their interest by contacting Amber Moffitt on (04) 527 2793 or via email: amber.moffitt@uhcc.govt.nz.

Depictions of Islam in Western popular culture have rarely been positive, even before 9/11. Any number of movie examples come to mind, beginning with Rudolf Valentino’s role (over a century ago) as the romantic Arab hero in The Sheik...
