Ashburton deaths referred to the Coroner

Canterbury Police can confirm that the deaths of the mother and her three children discovered in Ashburton on 2 July 2015 have been referred to the Coroner.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Worner says “the post mortems have been completed this week and as a result the matter has been referred to the Coroner.

Police will continue to investigate this tragic incident on their behalf. As this is now a Coronial investigation Police will not be making any further comment on the cause of death.”
