Maintenance work on SH1 Brynderwyn Hills this weekend

Maintenance work on SH1 Brynderwyn Hills this weekend

The NZ Transport Agency will be carrying out maintenance work on SH1 through the Brynderwyn Hills overnight this Sunday (July 26).

The routine work on the south side of the hill will include repairing potholes, clearing drains, re-erecting road signs that have been damaged as well as cleaning signs to improve their visibility.

To reduce the impact on our customers the work will be done from 6pm to 6am when traffic flows are considerably less than during the day.

Where possible two lanes of traffic will remain open but motorists are advised there will be some small sections where there will be only one lane open.

The NZ Transport Agency apologises for any inconvenience and thanks motorists for their patience as our crews maintain this section of the state highway. Please observe the speed limits and drive to the conditions through this windy uphill section.
