Later start of Big Birthday Party light and sound show loop
Tonight and tomorrow night's light and sound show for The Big Birthday Party will now start around 5.40pm. The later start is to ensure a better projection result. The light and sound show will run on a loop every half hour until 9pm.
It's estimated around 15,000 people watched last night's spectacular show, which also included performances from New Zealand music icon Dave Dobbyn and Wellington's Orpheus Choir.
People heading along tonight or tomorrow should dress up warm and bring a rain jacket, as the weather forecast is predicting some rain and strong northerlies.
