Two Armed Robberies in Wellington


Two armed robberies occurred within an hour in the Wellington Area on the evening of Wednesday 2nd September 2015.

The first incident occurred at about 11.30pm outside Dominos Pizza, Riddiford Street.

Outside the store a delivery driver was approached by a male holding a firearm and wearing a scarf over his face. Cash was taken and the offending male left on foot.

The offender is described as wearing a black top with white stripes on the shoulders slim build, approximately 170cm.

The second incident occurred at 12.30am on Thursday 3rd September at the Clock Work Gold Bar, Main Road, Tawa.

Two males offenders, both wearing ski masks have entered the premises.

One male was in possession of a firearm.

The offenders have left the premises in a vehicle of one of the staff members; they took the keys of this vehicle from one of the staff.

The vehicle was located by Police a short time later.

When located there no persons with the vehicle however police have recovered an imitation firearm.
