Charges following West Auckland shooting

The couple involved with last night's shooting in West Auckland have now been charged.

The 23 year-old woman will appear in the Waitakere District Court this afternoon on the following charges;

-Using a firearm against a law enforcement officer x 2

-Discharging a firearm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm

-Unlawful possession of a firearm

The 25 year-old man has been charged with the following but is not expected to appear in court today and will appear at a later date still to be determined;

-Discharging a firearm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm x 2

-Unlawful possession of a firearm

-Failing to stop for red and blue flashing lights

-Driving whilst disqualified

-Reckless driving
