NZ Police National Open Day - Wellington Event -
Sunday 18 October, 1 - 4pm
Wellington District
Police and the Royal New Zealand Police College have teamed
up to open our doors to the public. Come and join us on
Sunday 18 October between 1pm - 4pm at the Royal New Zealand
Police College, Papakowhai Road, Porirua. There will be
plenty on display including vintage police cars, the new
Mobile Police Base, Forensics, the Dive Squad and our Search
and Rescue Team. You'll be able to practise taking
fingerprints, test your running speed against our laser and
even test your aim with our Firearms Training Simulator.
There will be a dynamic display by the Armed Offenders
Squad, Special Tactics Group and Dogs at 3pm.
For safety,
traffic on Whitford Brown will be paused during the dynamic
display for about 40 minutes. There'll be sausage sizzles
and the cafe will be open. Hope to see you
there!
If you're using Scoop for work, your organisation needs to pay a small license fee with Scoop Pro. We think that's fair, because your organisation is benefiting from using our news resources. In return, we'll also give your team access to pro news tools and keep Scoop free for personal use, because public access to news is important!
