Spring clean for Foxton s water reservoir and pipes

Spring clean for Foxton's water reservoir and pipes

Residents connected to the Foxton town water supply are encouraged to use water conservatively this weekend.

This is while the town's water storage reservoir and pipes are being cleaned and scoured by Horowhenua District Council's contractor.

The work is scheduled to start in the evening of this Friday 6 November and intended to be complete before Sunday evening.

There should be minimal impact on the quality of the supply and the water will remain completely safe to drink. To clear any discolouration in the water, residents should flush their taps for around two minutes or until it runs clear.

Any concerns or enquiries should be made to Council on 06 366 0999 or enquiries@horowhenua.govt.nz
