Informal feedback opportunity on proposed Special Housing

Informal feedback opportunity on proposed Special Housing Area

Queenstown Lakes District Council is seeking feedback on a proposal for a special housing area to be developed as a retirement village near Arrowtown.

The Council will be considering the Expression of Interest on 26 November, and the Mayor and Councillors are interested to hear local views on the proposal first.

This is an informal process, as the Housing Accords and Special Housing Areas Act 2013 doesn’t provide for a full public consultation process. The Council offered the same feedback opportunity when it considered other Expressions of Interest in setting up special housing areas earlier this year.

There is an online feedback form on the QLDC website www.qldc.govt.nz along with the Expression of Interest. Feedback closes on 24 November.
