The recovery operation is under way on Fox Glacier
and Police are working to progress this as far as possible
while the weather allows.
The operation is extremely
challenging and the safety of those working at the scene is
of paramount importance.
Police can now release the names
of those people whom we believe were on the helicopter when
it crashed, however formal identification of the victims
will take some time.
They are:

Our thoughts are with the
victims’ families at this difficult
time.
