Porritt Park Playground to close on Friday 27th November

Porritt Park Playground to close on Friday 27th November 2015

We'll be closing the playground at Thames' Porritt Park for a short time this Friday to install the Serious Air Swing and the rest of the Three Bay Senior Swing with basket.

As part of the Redevelopment of Porritt Park you will have seen the new toilet block going in and the landscaping is almost complete.

Stage 1 of the Playground Redevelopment has now started.

This includes some excavation works to provide space for two great new pieces of equipment which are currently being installed:

1 - Serious Air Swing and
2 - Three Bay Senior Swing with basket

Soft Fall (wood chip) needs to be installed this week around all play equipment. To carry out this part of the installation, we will need to close the playground for a short period of time for safety reasons as we will have machinery moving around the playground and toilet areas.

Therefore, unfortunately the playground will be closed this Friday 27 November 2015 for approximately six hours, or for as long as is necessary to complete this work.
